Day 1
Arrive at Ayers Rock Resort
Arrive at Ayers Rock Resort and take the time to explore the resort’s facilities.

Alternatively, until March 2018, experience internationally-acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s immersive installation, Field of Light Uluru. With more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres over an area the size of four football fields, this installation is not to be missed. Day 2
Singapore – Cairns
Nearby is Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), meaning ‘many heads,’ a series of enormous rock domes that date back 500 million years. Start your morning with a drive to the Kata Tjuta dune viewing area for sunrise. The viewing area offers magnificent panoramic views of the domes and a relaxing place to sit and absorb the ever-changing colours of the landscape.
View Kata Tjuta by foot and find out just how ancient and imposing the domes are by enjoying one of the two popular walking tracks. A journey through Walpa Gorge will take you along a trail that follows a natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. The 1 hour walk (return) allows you to get right between the sheer red rugged walls.
This afternoon visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre where you will find information about the park’s activities as well as an introduction to Anangu culture. Near the centre, hire a bike and circumnavigate Uluru’s 10.6 kilometre base, which is dotted with interpretive displays. It is a great way to see the many springs, waterholes, rock art caves and ancient paintings at Uluru.
Check out The Mala Walk which takes you to the caves of the Mala people and to the sacred Kantju Gorge, a quiet waterhole at the base of a dramatic rock face. Only a 90 minute walk (return), along the way you will also see examples of Anangu rock art and learn about their creation beliefs. Or, if you’d like to explore the Town Square, Maruku@Uluru offer dot painting workshops providing you with an authentic Anangu cultural art experience.
Day 3
Cairns arrival
See the desert scenery atop a camel for a unique perspective. Climb aboard for a quiet, leisurely ride and view the surrounding area from six feet high. Explore the large red sand dunes in the cool, clear morning and watch the sun rise over Uluru. Your guides will point out the desert flora and fauna along the trail followed by a breakfast of billy tea and freshly baked beer bread.
